FULL PRODUCT INFORMATION

We have used the Cletop fibre cleaners since their introduction many years ago. The Cletop were designed and developed in Japan by Nippon Telecom. We found the Cletop to be more effective than using solvents and wipes, as this merely moves the debris around the connector and leaves a residue. It also means you do not have to carry flammable liquids with you. When you consider the majority of fibre faults are due to poor connector cleanliness, the Cletop is an essential item.

Cletop TYPE A (This product) is for use with SC, FC, ST ,DIN, D4 type connectors. Cletop TYPE B (Alternative product) is for use with MU,MT,LC,MTJR type connectors.

The main difference between the Cletop Type A and Cletop Type B is the rubber pad below the tape opening is of a different density. This ensure the cleaning tape contacts the surface of the connector face completely and the tape does not tear when moderate hand pressure on the connector is used.

Tip: We sell the Cletop Type A and Cletop Type B, but our field engineers have found the Cletop TYPE A will work in most situations, using less hand pressure on LC and MTRJ connectors. Therefore, if your network has many different types of connectors and you only want to carry one fibre cleaner we recommend the Cletop Type A.
